Have you ever found yourself lusting after some of the cute trends we see Vanessa sporting?  Although we may not share the same sort of budget as an up and coming starlet, there are ways to create similar outfits and styles for a fraction of the cost – hence one of my personal favorite post thus far; The Look for Less!!

The Look – Miu miu Vitello Lux Hobo

Splurge!  This exact bag is hard to find – try high end department stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus for the ‘Vitello’ Hobo.  But, a smiliar ‘Gathered Top Tote’ mimics Vanessa’s original.

Budget!  Cole Haans’ plush ‘Village Small’ hobo looks soft enough to use in place of a pillow!  The brass hardware is reminiscent of the Miu Miu bag.

Steal!  Red by Mark Echo ‘Vagabond’ Patent Hobo Bag.  This bag packs two big pluses; Vanessa is their spokesperson and it’s inexpensive (and cute!)  Can’t beat that!

The Look – Sue Wong Dress

Splurge!  This green (but similar to Vanessa’s blue jersey frock)  Sue Wong dress includes a breathtaking, embroidered neckline with flowing tucks of green chiffon.

The Look – Frye ‘Veronica Slouch’ Boots *for Ayen*

Splurge!  Vanessa has been stomping around LA in these western inspired (yet go-go reminiscent) boots.  She most recently wore them to one of her many trips to the music studio in Santa Monica.

Steal!  White go-go inspired boots with tassel detail in the back.  The low kitten heel is a nice alternative to a completely flat sole boot without the height (or pain) of full heels.  Available from shoe retailer River Island.

Budget!  (shoes)  Sleek two-tone mary jane pumps capture the essence of the original shoes.  It’s a steep heel (4 1/2 in.  Yikes!) but all it takes is a little practice and you’ll be strutting around in no time!

Steal!  (dress)  Urban Outfitters (a fave shopping spot for Vanessa!) offers this dress that can be worn multiple ways.  Throw a tee under it (as I’ve demonstrated with this particular outfit), wrap a comfy cardigan around it, or wear the dress by itself for evening out.  Either way this dress scores a perfect 10!
