Venice Film Festival
It has been announced today (July 26th) that Spring Breakers will premiere at Venice Film Festival this fall between August 29th and September 8th.
Directed by Harmony Korine and starring Vanessa alongside James Franco, Selena Gomez, Ashley Benson and Rachel Korine, the movie will be in competition during the event and had billboards up at Cannes Film Festival earlier this year too. There’s no word yet as to whether Vanessa will be attending the premiere screening, nor the exact date and time of the screening, but check back on August 15th for the info!
In other Spring Breakers news, it was announced last month that Skrillex will be producing the score for the movie! He said to Rolling Stone Magazine:
I think this film is going to turn a lot of heads in many ways. It was a lot of fun to work with Harmony because he gave me the freedom and trust to do whatever I wanted,” said Skrillex in a statement. “Scoring to film is definitely a different approach to music making in the sense that it’s not so much about how the music sounds by itself as it is finding ways to compliment the vibe of the film.”
We can’t wait to see the movie and are sure that Skrillex will make the film even more epic!
UPDATE: It was also revealed that ‘Spring Breakers‘ will also be a ‘Special Presentation’ at the Toronto International Film Festival between September 6th and 16th. The exact date and time of the screening will be announced on August 21st, so check back then for more details.
