Just Jared exclusively announced yesterday that Vanessa is one of Variety’s ‘Power Of Youth’ 2012 Honorees. She is being awarded for her work with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, whom she’s worked with since the first High School Musical was being shot!

The goal of Variety’s Power of Youth initiative is to encourage the next generation of entertainers to support the philanthropic and humanitarian causes closest to their hearts – and to use their positions in popular culture to encourage their peers and millions of fans who look up to them to do the same.

The ‘Power Of Youth‘ event will be held on September 15th in the Paramount Studios ‘Streets Of New York’ Lot in Los Angeles and will be hosted by the cast of ‘Level Up‘. At the event, Vanessa will be honored along with Sarah Hyland, Jordin Sparks, The Jonas Brothers and Diego Boneta for their charity work – congratulations to all of the honorees!
