During her promotional tour for Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, Vanessa has visited the Habbo Hotel in Mexico and recently, Habbo in France! We’re excited to reveal that Journey 2: The Mysterious Island did brilliantly on its opening weekend taking third in the box office and a HUGE $27.6 million across America.

Stronger-than-expected performances by “The Vow,” “Safe House,” “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island” and “Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace” knocked down a couple of domestic box-office records this weekend.
Debuting at No. 3 in North America, New Line’s “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island” seriously outperformed pre-release expectations. The movie, which box-office watchers outside the studio initially predicted would take somewhere in the low-to-mid teens, grossed $27.6 million.
The PG-rated 3D film starring Dwayne Johnson, Josh Hutcherson and Vanessa Hudgens, has now grossed more than $100 million worldwide.
The movie’s uptick from Friday to Saturday is especially noteworthy: It jumped from $6.6 million on Friday to $12.7 million Saturday. On IMAX screens alone, “Journey 2″ grossed $4 million — 14 percent of the movie’s overall domestic box office.”

Vanessa attended the French premiere of Journey 2: The Mysterious Island at the UGC Cine Cite Bercy in Paris earlier this afternoon (January 12th). Also in attendance were co-stars Josh Hutcherson and Luis Guizman. Wearing a white printed strapless dress with bow detail, she posed on the red carpet solo, as well as with the rest of the cast!

Earlier this week (January 8), in support of Journey 2: The Mysterious Island Vanessa shot an appearance on MTV’s 10 on Top. Rocking a white trouser suit with sheer top and smoky make-up, Nessa posed for the cameras before shooting her appearance inside. The episode will air on Saturday 11th at 11.30 am EST on MTV. That same day, rocking Christian Louboutin heels, Vanessa was on the Rachael Ray Show set shooting an appearance. They talked about Gimme Shelter preparation and more – the episode featuring V will air today (January 10th)! Finally, last night (February 9th) Vanessa attended the Oster Media Presents Leila Shams After-Party. This is Vanessa’s third consecutive New York Fashion Week and she made quite a wave dressed in a black strapless dress with sheer skirt, cross necklace and a leather jacket.

Early yesterday morning (January 8), Vanessa appeared on Live with Kelly with this week’s co-host Michael Strahan. Nessa rocked a white Alice+Olivia ‘Rozzi’ lace dress with tan Yves Saint Laurent Heels.
The trio chatted about her new movie Journey 2: The Mysterious Island as well as her upcoming overseas promotion in Rome and Paris including a premiere in Paris on February 12th (more information in the sidebar!).
