Vanessa Hudgens arrived at our shoot with a Starbucks green tea in her hand and beaded sandals on her feet. She sat down in front of the mirror and said to hairstylist Serge Normant, “I’m still not used to my bangs.” The actress had had them cut a month earlier for her role in Beastly, opposite Mary-Kate Olsen and Neil Patrick Harris. Makeup artist Linda Cantello was astonished by Hudgens’s long lashes—in fact, she almost forgot to apply mascara. “That’s the only time I’ve forgotten that in my entire career,” said Cantello. “Your lashes are so full, I didn’t even notice.”
